What is atrium?

Atrium are:

  • - 1. One of the two upper chambers of the heart; after birth, in the normal human the right atrium receives blood from the venae cavae and the left atrium receives blood from the pulmonary veins; the blood passes from each atrium to the respective ventricle
  • - 2. A shallow depression in the nasal cavity; the anterior extension of the middle meatus, located above the vestibule.
