What is zollinger-Ellison syndrome, Z-E syndrome?

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, Z-E syndrome is syndrome caused by a gastrinsecreting tumor of the pancreas, producing a high concentration of hydrochloric acid in the stomach; ulcers are formed in the esophagus and upper intestinal tract; symptoms include malabsorption, diarrhea, pain, and nausea; often associated with other endocrine abnormalities, especially hyperparathyroidism.
